Survivorship

Lumora’s student research priorities for survivorship, late effects, emotional care, and long-term family support.

Lumora’s student research priorities for survivorship, late effects, emotional care, and long-term family support.

Survivorship is a research priority. For many children and families, the end of treatment begins a new chapter of questions. Survivorship research studies late effects, emotional recovery, school transitions, follow-up care, and long-term quality of life. Lumora’s student researchers are building a shared agenda around these themes. Our goal is to publish student work that is rigorous enough to respect the science and clear enough to serve families. This year’s student research agenda prioritizes late-effects education, adolescent and young adult transitions, family mental health, and plain-language summaries of emerging survivorship studies.
